Revelstoke Wedding

Brittney and Colton came to Revelstoke on July 13th for their wedding and ceremony at Revelstoke Mountain Resort and chose to capture the entire event through photography and videography.  We first took advantage of the beautiful lighting during an afternoon bridal shoot in a grassy field overlooking Mt. Begbie at the rest of the Selkirk Mountain range.  We moved indoors to capture all the delicate moments that get overlooked on the day of; the laughs between friends, the last-minute hair and makeup touch ups, the proud expressions from family, and those last few private moments before the bridge and groom recite their vows.

Being tasked with capturing unique moments on a wedding day is not a simple task.  There is a lot of action and movement that I, as the photographer, have to be aware of and even anticipate.  I was happy to solicit some help from local talents in helping me capture those moments on photographs and video camera. Brittney and Colton had worked tirelessly to put together a dance for their guests – a highlight of their reception.  The joy they expressed through their laughter and fondness for each other was palpable, their smiles lighting up the room and I was happy to have a couple of extra hands on deck to ensure we captured every moment.
